Then she'd gotten too small of a role in the play, then stupid Shalawhatshisface had said she wasn't memorable, and then Sophie said her sparkles and rose petals were useless again. Milk's pride was not in the best of states. There was only one thing to do, and that was gorge herself on sweets.

That didn't work. She decided to go out as Milky Rose instead. There had to be someone in need of saving in this mess of a town, and the roofhopping girl leaving a stream of dyed rose petals behind had to get a lot of attention.
